I was captivated by the expressive letter form of the 3 in a simple white number ball, with the reflections painted across the top of the body work of this Tyrell F1 car. Number 3 belonged to Francois Cervert, who was such a promising driver, cut down far to early at Watkins Glen. Much of the safety incorporated into modern racecars is a legacy of his young passing.
