Created by the legendary Carroll Shelby, the joining of Ford V8 power and an AC Ace proved to be a powerful combination. Cobras had phenomenal success against Jaguars, Ferraris and their domestic rivals Corvette. This was a real springboard for Shelby’s work with Ford, ultimately leading to an overall win at Le Mans with the GT40.
